CWG 17 Days To Go: A New Threat Surfaces

With CWG just 17 days away, Delhi government is facing yet another crisis – it might have to tackle a different flood during the Games if the reservation tangle of Jats is not resolved by October 3. More
Jat community bodies, agitating for reservation under OBC category, plan to buy tickets to CWG in bulk to facilitate disruption of the games at different venues. The Jat plan is simple – why clash with security forces outside CWG venues when they can enter venues easily and then play the spoilsport. “As it is, over 15 lakh security personnel would be pressed into action for the CWG, whereas we have a population of five crore in India. Also, we have enough resources to purchase tickets in bulk. We may boycott by not making it to venue leaving it almost empty or can protest there,” said Yash Pal Malik, national president of Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti.
If you have bought a ticket to one of the Commonwealth Games’ venues and are wondering why it has not been delivered, as promised, don’t fret. There are several others who are also waiting for their tickets to arrive. It is ironical, but while people are scrambling for tickets, there are some 12lakh tickets lying unsold. The Organising Committee (OC) claims to have sold over two lakh tickets to the October 3-14 event till date but there are only a handful who received their tickets so far. Read more

If Dikshit was a professional shooter, there’s a good chance she wouldn’t have been able to represent India in the Commonwealth Games. The Delhi chief minister has missed the mark again. Her September 15 deadline has lapsed and civic work for the Games is nowhere near the finish line.

  • This is very shameful for us, In India everyone think about themselves and their own benefit.
    This is the biggest sport's event that India is ever hosted but instead of providing supporting, they threating the government of spoiling this event.
    Actually they don't think themselves as a Indian and this is the main problem of our country. We divided in state,cast and many things.
    People here threw garbage on road and on next day blame government that garbage is still there but it doesn't mean that everyone is like them there are few good people also and because of them our country is progressing...
    Hoping one day there is no reservation because everyone in country is Indian.
    not jat, gujjar, marathi,north,south and many more.............

  • Nobody wants India to be great, everybody thinks about their own benefits. When a big event is going to happen in our country we have to feel happy, but these people want to ruin it rather than making it successful. First organizers ruined everything by misusing CWG funds, now these people want to stop the biggest events even organized in India for their own benefits. There should be someone who can screw or punish these people. God please save our India from these politicians, Corrupters, and everyone who wants to ruin our country.

  • Hey you all .... if you can do smthing about the games .. go and do it ... els dont simply sit and crib here ... Nuthng good will happen by saying SHAME SHAME repeatedly and what all you ppl are cribbing ( and those who are agee) every1 knows it already, at the end of the day theyll finish it up by saying ITS INDIA ...... so if you really cant do nythng just do smthng productive in your own field. let them do games their way.

  • What is this ??? Selfish cause has come in the path of national pride. Have these people gone insane? They are demanding something at a time when they should volunteer and help the games instead of disrupting. Thats why I think the dialogue from Slumdog Millionare is 100% true.." This is real INDIA".. I am very ashamed to admit this fact :-( ..... Regarding their cause reservation should only be on the basis of economic background not on some flimsy caste basis. Even if Dr B.R Ambedkar was alive today I think he would have agreed with me.

  • Completely in Favour of Jaat Reservation. Because They are Powerfull Personality of Haryana and Our current CM Bhuphender Sing Huda is also Jaat.
    Favour in Reservation System that also Applicable in Election When a Sc Got 33% Vote then Count 33+40(Reservation) = 73% Vote,BC-A 43% Vote = 43+30(Resr) = 73% Vote,BC-B ->50% = 50+23=73% Vote.

  • yaar saurabh bhai i think you are also a great selfish. becacause u don't know the pros and cons of reservation. when our country is hosting such a big event and jats are creating one more problem then will it be better.
    it's about our prestige and pride that we manage the CWG in good way.
    and tell me that why they need reservation when they are the most powerful community of harayana.
    when they do'nt have poverty, they are rich people.

    CWG is the matter of national pride, and JAT's should not disrupt the games as it will down our image in the world. It is a clear blackmail of Govt. of India and its a act of DESHDROH.

  • When we want to call BOMBAY AS MUMBAI ,MADRASS AS CHENNAI etc scrap the CWGand similar games which serves only as a source for R.ULING politicians to loot the Treasury.UPA no doubt is imcapable to handle such matters.See what JATS ARE DEMANDING KEEPING GAME AS STAKE.There should be some body to enforce the law of the land even at the cost of ones chair, then things will happen as is decided. Let us practice that sport first by our PRIME MINISTER and the chair person followed by every one in both the HOUSES to save this COUNTRY.!

  • we just give lectures when any problem like this occurs. and the system (the caste system, religion system, the political system..... in simple words "THE UNEVENNESS IN EVERYTHING") is there, we all know that, we just let it happen every time. we are following that from a long long time. the patriotism emerges in us only when a problem pushes us and we forget that very soon later. we are following the constitution from last more than 60 YEARS and if it is unjustified why anything has not been done by us or our LEADERS? why there is reservation system till today based on CASTE and Religion? why should there be a reservation system? and if it should be, why not based on the livelihood conditions of people?

    i dont know watz goin on in delhi ..but i know if u wanna stop all this reservation n all...change our politicians n bring a new goverment after cwg games...those who all sitting now are all selfish ...they hav corrupted a lot f money of commn wlth games...and bring one man goverment ....n stop this caste system ..if there will be no SC and ST reservation ....then no one will ask for OBC...u know ...our country can never change until this goverment got changed....tis reservation for OBC by jaats is also a part of politics ....its politician's only becas f whom this is happening....in india every caste hav unique morals but we should learn to live happily together

  • As A Indian i feel shameful to say this but I wish games should be called off ... I can't resist further more embarrassment ... Where is Kalamadi and i wish his should sack from IOA and every other duties make a change in the IOA and make some like Mani Shankar Ayiar ...... Chairman .... How can foot over bridge can collaspe without a single foot still not on it .. As said bu Delhi Cm it is for Public ... still no one has gone jawharlal stadium ... I heard some very gigantic form the mouth of a man who's bad governance made this happen that the games will more successful than Beijing Olympics are still he is dreaming .... or a Chinese Karate will make him awake ... Beijing games was best ever Olympics till ever .... and he is telling with under prepared stadiums, roads, bridges, with lots of games money in their swiss bank accounts how can he think like that ... Leave it Mr. Kalmadi we are no the foolish .. to made fool to this much of politics .....
